It serves as a certified platform for workers in heavy industrial and hazardous environments Technical Specifications & Safety This hard hat is built on the globally recognised MSA V-Gard platform known for its durable high-density polyethylene HDPE shell. Safety Certifications It meets or exceeds requirements for a Type I helmet top impact as outlined in ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 and is often certified to AS/NZS 1801 Type 1 in the Australian market. Intrinsic Safety Critically this helmet is intrinsically safe IS approved when used in conjunction with the RealWear HMT-1Z1. This allows it to be used in Class I Division 1 hazardous areas like oil rigs and chemical plants. Protection Features The non-vented design provides electrical insulation Class E. It also includes Glaregard technology on the under-brim to reduce reflective glare. Fas-Trac III Suspension System A key component of this model is the Fas-Trac III suspension designed to improve comfort when supporting the weight of a mounted wearable device Stability The lower nape strap sits below the occipital bone which prevents the helmet from shifting or falling off when the worker leans over or looks up. Custom Fit It features three levels of nape height adjustment and a smooth-turning ratchet knob that is easily adjustable even while wearing heavy work gloves. Comfort Includes a large moisture-wicking foam sweatband and a comfort pad at the rear to eliminate pressure points and prevent hair-pulling. Mounting & Device Compatibility While the helmet is RealWear branded it uses standard MSA accessory slots. Headsets Compatible with the RealWear Navigator 500/520 HMT-1 and HMT-1Z1. Required Accessories To attach your device you must use Hard Hat Clips RealWear SKU 127120 which are typically sold separately. These clips snap into the side slots of the helmet and provide a secure mounting point for the devices arms. Alternatives For helmets without standard slots the RealWear Hard Hat Band SKU 127137 can be used as a universal rubber-band mounting solution.
